Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Skipalong, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. Who can use Skipalong
Skipalong is intended for parents and other adults. You must be old enough to form a binding agreement in your location to use it.
3. How the service works
Skipalong is invite-only and friends-only. You only see people you've connected with as friends, and they only see you. There is no friend-of-friend visibility and no public discovery. Check-ins are visible only to your accepted friends and fade after 3 hours.
4. Community standards — zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse
Skipalong has no tolerance for objectionable, abusive, harassing, hateful, or otherwise harmful behavior or content, and no tolerance for abusive users. By using Skipalong you agree that you will not:
- harass, threaten, bully, or abuse another person;
- post or share content that is hateful, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable;
- impersonate another person or create a fake profile;
- spam, solicit, or use Skipalong for any commercial or illegal purpose;
- attempt to contact or connect with someone who has blocked you.
Reporting and blocking. You can block any friend at any time from the Friends tab (••• → Block) — blocking makes the two of you immediately invisible to each other and prevents reconnection. You can also report a user (••• → Report) and choose a reason; reporting also blocks that user.
Our commitment. We review reports of objectionable content or abusive behavior and act on them by removing offending content and/or removing the offending user's access within 24 hours. Users who violate these standards may have their accounts suspended or terminated.
5. Your account
You sign in through Google, Apple, or LINE. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add — your display name, bio, avatar, your children's first names and ages, check-ins, hangouts, RSVPs, and event interests. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and display that content to your accepted friends so the service can work. We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't use it for advertising.
7. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible; your data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Service availability
Skipalong is provided "as is." We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
9. Disclaimers and liability
Meetups you arrange through Skipalong are your own responsibility. We are not responsible for the conduct of other users or for anything that happens at a meetup. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.).
11. Changes
We may update these Terms; we'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
